Enter the 2015 “I Heart Evanston Trees” Art Contest

The City has launched the second year of the “I Heart Evanston Trees” Art Contest with this year’s theme of “My Favorite Tree.” The contest to open to any living or working in Evanston or enrolled in an Evanston-based school. Entries will be accepted from August 31 through September 25. The first 100 contestants will receive a free Blick Art Materials T-shirt retrievable from Blick Art Materials in Evanston.

This year the contest is split into two categories: photography and non-photography which includes mixed media, collages, painting, drawing, graphic design…etc. 6 winners will be chosen from each category for a total of 12 winners. Winning images will be printed on post cards and greeting cards and sold to raise funds for the City’s tree fund. The tree fund is used to purchase trees to plant in public spaces around Evanston.
