Evanston Passes “Complete and Green Network” Resolution

On January 27th, 2014 the City of Evanston adopted a resolution which includes a number of environmentally-minded provisions. Such provisions center around a Complete and Green Network approach which emphasizes the accommodation of alternate forms of transportation such as biking, walking, and public transit in hopes of encouraging more widespread use of such modes of transit. This resolution calls upon the Evanston Public Works Department to consider the implications of its future construction projects as they relate to these alternative forms of transport, ultimately leading to cleaner air and a reduction in emissions.
