Neighborhood Gardens, Urban Farms and Rooftop Urban Farms

Mon. August 11th, 2014 the Evanston City Council approved amending the Zoning Ordinance text land use regulations for Neighborhood Gardens, Urban Farms and Rooftop Urban Farms. The amendment allows, for the first time, the existence of urban farms and rooftop urban farms within Evanston City limits. Neighborhood gardens, urban farms and rooftop urban farms are all now Special Use in a variety of different zoning districts.
