Seeds of Change Grant Needs Your Vote

On April 1st, the Ecology Center staff entered Twiggs Community Garden into the Seeds of Change Grant Contest.  We just learned Twiggs  made it to the online voting portion of the contest.  The top 50 most voted gardens will make it to the judging round to win one of the 17 grants available – (2) for $20,000 or (15) for $10,000.

This grant would allow us to expand some current programs, pamphlets, workshops and educational signage in the garden to promote healthier eating and food source awareness. Larger projects would include an herb sensory garden, a teaching garden and expanding the underground water system.
