Join Paul D’Agostino, Assistant Director of Public Works for Forestry, City of Evanston, for a Tree Walk along the Evanston lakefront. Paul will identify trees and provide an update about work in this area of the lakefront as the tour walks north. To attend the Tree Walk please meet in Dawes Park just off Sheridan between Davis & Clark, at the north end of the lagoon. The City of Evanston’s Division of Forestry is responsible for caring for and maintaining Evanston’s public urban forest which consists of about 30,000 trees planted on parkways, parks and on municipal property. Duties of the Division of Forestry include pruning existing trees, planting new trees on public property, treating and removing diseased or blighted trees and taking down dangerous trees that pose a threat to public safety.
