What About Water?” – A Green Drinks Discussion
When: Wednesday, May 4, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Climate change, aging infrastructure, and big agriculture are making water a more precious commodity. In observance of National Drinking Water Week, this discussion will look at one major waterway, the mighty Mississippi, and then zoom in on how Evanston is managing this resource. The panel discussion will be followed by Q&A.
Mikaylo Kelly – this young Evanston man recently completed a solo canoe trip the entire length of the Mississippi, from Chicao to New Orleans. He will share his first-hand experiences about what is happening on the river.
Darrell King, Evanston’s Water Production Bureau Chief – will focus on the importance of water in everyday Evanston life, whether for water production, personal consumption, hygiene, conservation, industry, livestock, employment, or even trees and plants.
Networking begins at 6:30, panel discussion at 7.
