THE SECOND ANNUAL EVANSTON GREEN BALL will be presented on Friday, May 31, 2013 by the Evanston Environmental Association and the City of Evanston.
Last year’s inaugural event provided a special opportunity for supporters of green causes in Evanston and the surrounding communities to gather, converse, drink, eat, and dance the night away. All while helping to keep the ball rolling for programs and operations at a great Evanston institution – the Evanston Ecology Center.
The Ecology Center, which was built almost forty years ago on the grounds of the Ladd Aboretum, strives to foster a greater appreciation, awareness and knowledge of the natural environment and our interdependence with it through educational programs and services.
Please see the “Save the Date” graphic at the left for the date, time, and location for this year’s event. Highlights for this year’s Ball include:
“Taste of Evanston” – a sampling of food from local restaurants, artisan food providers and caterers
Live music by local bands
A dance floor for those who really want to move to the music
A photo booth allowing attendees to have their picture taken with Ecology Center “critters”
A Silent Auction and Raffle
